About Kay

Scenar Therapist Kay Sparrow (formerly Brown), who is a *lifelong professional horsewoman, was introduced to Scenar Therapy in 2014 when a horse in her care sustained a suspensory ligament injury.  Scenar Therapy was used as part of the recovery, not only relieving pain but assisting in the healing process.

Kay was so impressed with the results that she was inspired to  become a therapist herself & in 2018 became fully qualified** and established  Scenar Southwest in July of the same year, treating humans, equines &  pets.

Kay lives near Dartmouth in South Devon, from where she travels the entire region.

Kay joined The Devon Clinic CIC in Paignton in 2020 as part of their team of therapists, who offer a range of therapies & counselling services.

For Equines and Small Animals, Kay covers the entire region and will travel to you to treat your animals in the comfort of their own surroundings.

*Kay's equestrian background has been mainly in eventing, dressage & remedial/behavioural training, however her experience also includes racing, polo, hunting & stud work.

Kay is highly experienced in the sympathetic handling of all types of horses & ponies, & is also a highly experienced & knowledgeable trainer & riding instructor who specialises in classical dressage.

"Kay Brown has successfully worked with several of my horses here at Fitzworthy Equestrian. Walamar, my horse pictured above with Kay, had seriously injured himself. After surgery he had also suffered anaesthetic induced myopathy on his good leg! Kay's regular Scenar treatments helped bring life back into this leg and had gained normality within the limb. All my horses have benefitted from Kay's Scenar treatments over the recent years and I can highly recommend this to anyone". Kim Pilling Fitzworthy Equestrian Centre
